What is the Parish Finance Council?

 

The Parish Finance Council is a group of parishioners named by the pastor to assist the pastor in his stewardship of parish resources. The Finance Council and the pastor are accountable to parishioners and the diocesan bishop in this work.

 

What does the Parish Finance Council do?

 

The Finance Council works closely with the pastor for the administration and stewardship of the temporal goods of the parish. The Finance Council helps the pastor draft an annual budget in consultation with the Parish Council to support the short and long term goals of the parish. The Finance Council oversees the expenses of the parish in keeping with available resources and budgets.
